Weekend in Blackpool

We went to stay with our best friends this weekend in Blackpool. Had a fab weekend, lots of fun... in fact the fun started on the way there, we have only been to stay at our friends house a couple of times, so decided to use the Sat Nav on my phone for directions, got the addy from the address book and put it in the Sat Nav and away we go..... just coming off the motorway and the phone dies :( - we realise we have no addy, no idea of the town they live... nightmare - no problem tho as we can use DD phone.... get it out bag and ho hum its died as its been left on.... so what do we do.... no idea where we are going and no phone.... oh well.. we carry on our way thinking that we might recognise the place when we get closer, after nearly an hour of driving around we decide that we really dont know so had better get an action plan sorted..... we have packed the charger so need to find a socket to charge it, so drive to the train station, they always have plugs in the waiting rooms, dont they ???? NO not this one - we then stumble across the local leisure centre and the kind receptionist lets us plug the phone in and we manage to call friend to rescue us....... saved........................

Cant believe how PANTS the weather was this weekend.... it rained constantly on Saturday and eventually stopped at 5.30pm... so we went for a lovely walk by the river.


On Sunday we decided to go to the seafront...... and being usual Brits.... the kids wanted to paddle in the sea...... wind blowing, rain spitting, macs on and the kids went paddling... typical British summertime.... lol.... kids had a great time tho ;)

Train Ride

I decided to brave it and took the girls to see my Mum on the train, they were really well behaved and coped well with the long journey so we will definitely be doing it again ;) My Mum was SO pleased to see them too - and we even got to spend the day with my Niece Katie...... we had a lovely day, the weather was fab too and the girls all played in the garden. My Mum was looking a little better when we saw her today..... and was over the moon to see the girls.... smiles all round which has to be the best medicine ever :)

We had a fab trip on the way out, managed to find our seats and were all sat together round a table - which is fab - although we were in the 'Quiet' Coach - but the girls coped well and were quiet as mice all the way there, there were whispering to each other and being SOOOO quiet I was very proud of them... I was a bit miffed however that they had reserved us seats in the 'Quiet' coach.... but ho hum..... we then came to find our seats on the way back - the train was packed and our seats were very spread out and had someone else sitting in them... so we decided to go and hunt for some spare seats closer together... thats when the fun began, the train was hurtling along, the little ones were falling all over the show, we treked from coach to coach and eventually ended up in the 'Quiet' coach again... with 4 seats together but facing the wrong way...... Chloe soon began to feel sick so we decided at the next stop to find our seats and move the people that were in them.... so off we go again..... we ended up waiting in the restaurant coach with the friendly guy in there - and we got talking - and thats when we found out that the 'Quiet' coach just means no music or phones... BUT you CAN talk...... how funny....

Birthday time.......

Yesterday was Birthday Time again..........

Had a fab birthday today, - thanks for all the good wishes :) DH had the day off work which was fab and we went to Manchester for the day. We went to the Lowry and even went to the Shopping Mall there... had a fab time in Paper place and got lots of yummy card for card making and lots of other goodies ;)

Had some fab pressies too, more momiji dolls for the collection, fab Armani perfume, chocs, CD, DVD, lots of nice jewellery and 3 sets of fab promarkers oh and smellies..... cant have a birthday without smellies ;) - heres a few of the Momijis I got ;)

and my fave perfume I had :)

The girls made me a fab breakfast in bed, fresh strawberries, pancakes with syrup and a fabby hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and grated chocolate (a Simpsons special apparently ;P)

I definitely had a special fab birthday ;)

Sun is still shining ;)

What have we been up to...... ummmm

Tuesday - another fab sunny day.... went to the Park and met some friends, had a lovely time :)

Wednesday - went to visit friends, had a fab time playing in the garden, in the paddling pool, water fights, bouncing on the trampoline....

Thursday - more friends round for the afternoon and tea...... more fun.... and more coffee and chatting for the Mums...

and today.... had a day at home just the 4 of us.... been crafty today, glass painting, and more baking..... was really nice to chill as had some busy days this week.....

Picked up the girls from MIL today, they had been to stay since Thursday.... they had a fab time :) and we had a fabby kid-free weekend... we were going to go away but decided to stay at home instead....... and enjoy the peace and quiet.... had a wonderful few days and feeling nice and refreshed ;) - went out for some lovely meals, I didnt cook once.... (even DH cooked once..... swwon:P) went on a couple of trips to the cinema and saw Hancock (soooo funny)

and Batman (much better than I was expecting)

and also went to Manchester for the day and went to the Body Worlds exhibition... it was fascinating......

back to normality now tho... DH back at work and girls now back home :)
