This is my card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week - Food. I have used Magnolia Stamps. The Swirls are Fancy Pants. I have glittered the insides of the flowers on the stamped swirls. Thanks for the challenge - really enjoyed it.

This is my card for this weeks challenge on Spoonfull of Sugar. The challenge was to make a Xmas card... this is the first christmas card I have made this year. All images are Magnolia. I stamped the trees and cut them out and foam mounted them on one level of foam. I then cut out Tilda and mounted her on 3 levels of foam to give her real lift. I have glittered her boots, snowball and bobble.... I really enjoyed making this card - thanks for the challenge:)

After a number of comments from DH and BIls at the weekend, I actually washed and polished my car yesterday, first time EVER I have done it myself, I usually cheat and take it to the local drive thru handwash.... BUT NO I did it myself.... and I quite enjoyed it - but SShhhh dont tell DH - I took the piccie to prove I HAD done it....

Another week.......

Another week - and my phone still isnt fixed :( - I have been taking part in the challenges this week and they are all on my phone waiting to be uploaded... as soon as its working again I will upload them for you to see :)

I have been told off for not blogging - sorry guys - as I have no challenges to share with you... I will have to chat instead... ;)

Busy week this week, the girls eventually went back to school, after over 11 weeks off... they are back and I have ME time for the first time in 11 years..... woo hoo.... It was very sad to see Nic going to school but she is so ready for it and really really loves it.... lets hope it stays like that...

So what else have we been up to this week... Monday - we went on the train to see my Mum, she was looking good, still makes me sad tho to see her shuffling along :( had a good chat, made her smile lots... so well worth the 5 hours travelling to brighten her day, and her week :) Tueaday went to have Lunch at one of the new Reception Mums house, Nic got to meet lots of the new peeps in her class, they all got on fab and we had a lovely time, the Mums all seem really nice too... Wednesday - uniform buying, nothing like leaving it till the last minute :P school shoe shopping.... managed to get all 3 girls sorted with school shoes in the first shop we went to... and there was me worrying that we would be trekking around the shops.... Thursday was the girls first day back at school and my first day for 11 years with NO little ones, I went to meet the 'new' reception Mums for coffee after drop off... and so glad I did as it gave me something to think about, Dh even came on the first drop off.. which was really nice and I reckon was the reason there were no tears from me.... as my rock was there with me. Friday spent the day sorting, cleaning, tidying and shopping... not much fun but SO needed doing.... and yesterday it was CROP day... another day for me... very spoilt this week.... and today we went for a lovely walk this morning with the dogs, then lunch and watching the FI *yawn* and then a trip to B&Q for wallpaper for sitting room.... went to put it up tonight, and guess what - no step ladders, Dh has taken them to the office... good get out Dh... so thats why Im here not decorating.... hopefully will be back tomorrow with lots of piccies for you... ciao for now x

Hi we are still here, havent been washed away just yet... having a couple of technical hitches with my phone at the mo, have done the challenges tho and will post pictures as soon as I can :) Just here for a quick update on the new challenges to keep me busy... and you never know might have a go at the ATC challenge.... very very tempted even tho I dont make ATCs at the mo :P

BUT whoops Im too late to post it as it changes every Tuesday... and from looking at the other entries it doesnt look like this is the sort of thing they are after.. O Im not going to post it... BUT here it is for all you to see - this weeks challenge was to make a card using something you have never used before..... - this is my card for the challenge.... I have used accent beads on the embossed card to highlight a word..... have also used my new embosing folder, and my new stickles on the present and star..... really enjoyed the challenge... thanks :)

Here is my card for the Magnolia Emboss challenge..... I ahve used my new birthday cutlebig embossing folder, I only got it from the show yesterday and used it already.... see I did NEED that :P - Have coloured the image with my promarkers. The ribbon on the card IRL matches beautifully and co-ordiniates with the colours on Tilda.. however on this piccie it doesnt look as good :(

Nothing like being Last minute . com - here is my card for the Spoonful of Sugar 3 ribbons challenge...... I ahve used lilac ribbon, lilac checked ribbon and cream ribbon as a ribbon around the flowers..... Image is Magnolia Tilda coloured with promarkers.... and glittery bits are stickles..... I ahvent out a sentiment on the card as I thought I would leave it then i can use it as a card for anything :)

Here is my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge.This weeks challenge is "A stitch in time", the stitching can be real or faux.... - i have used faux for mine :P there is the stitching around the edge of the image and also stitching for the stems of the flowers and leaves for the flowers - I have used my new sweet ebony sugar stamp coloured with my promarkers..... sentiment has been made using my birthday embossing folder on my cuttlebug and cut out... have really enjoyed this challenge - thanks :)

I have also posted another two pictures of this card - it is a 'gate fold' card...... correct me if Im wrong.... still new to this :P

Chinese Card

MIL came to visit the other day and brought her chinese card making bits with her..... so I had a play, as you do, and made this card - the chinese lady is from Woodware stamp set.... made the background using the other litle stamps that came with the set. The picture is mounted on 3d pads to lift it and the chinese lady is also stuck down with 3d pads to give effect. The background papers are handmade chinese papers. All coloured with my promarkers :)

This is one of the first challenges I have taken part in..... The challenge was to create a card using the sketch.


I must apologise for the photo, for some reason the right hand side of photo has been cut off - my laptop has died and am having to use the Apple and cant figure out why - only seems to do it on the landscape ones :(

I have used Art from the Heart Citrus Papers for this card. The base is washed orange, then rectangle one is green and yellow stripes and rectangle two is spots with orange stripes... you can see the rectanges more distincly IRL,,,,, The image is Sugar Nellie Sweet Ebony Birdhouse stamp.

Thanks for the challenge - I thoroughly enjoyed doing it :)

I have made this card using my Magnolia Swing and swinging Tilda stamp. I have attached the swing to the background card with 3d dots and then have attached Tilda to the swing using foam pads to give 3d efffect. I have coloured the image using my promarkers. The flowers were stamped and then cut out and then crumpled to give effect.

I have made this card using my Sweet Ebony Sweet and Sassy stamp. I have coloured the image using my promarkers. The background paper was black and white hand drawn style and I have coloured it to match the image using my promarkers. I think it looks stunning done like this and will have to look out more black and white papers to have a go again. The sentiment has been stamped and attached to a chipboard to match the papers.

Have used the Sweet Ebony Birdhouse stamp for this card. Background papers are Crate paper Chickadee papers and although the photo doesnt really show it match perfectly with the image which I have coloured using my promarkers.

This is a birthday card for Emily.... used the Sweet Ebony Penpal stamp...... loving these stamps.

Have coloured the image using my new Promarkers.... have to say I am SO pleased with them and have to confess to being quite addicted to colouring using them :P any time I can grab 5mins during the day I am there colouring away....

Weekend in Blackpool

We went to stay with our best friends this weekend in Blackpool. Had a fab weekend, lots of fun... in fact the fun started on the way there, we have only been to stay at our friends house a couple of times, so decided to use the Sat Nav on my phone for directions, got the addy from the address book and put it in the Sat Nav and away we go..... just coming off the motorway and the phone dies :( - we realise we have no addy, no idea of the town they live... nightmare - no problem tho as we can use DD phone.... get it out bag and ho hum its died as its been left on.... so what do we do.... no idea where we are going and no phone.... oh well.. we carry on our way thinking that we might recognise the place when we get closer, after nearly an hour of driving around we decide that we really dont know so had better get an action plan sorted..... we have packed the charger so need to find a socket to charge it, so drive to the train station, they always have plugs in the waiting rooms, dont they ???? NO not this one - we then stumble across the local leisure centre and the kind receptionist lets us plug the phone in and we manage to call friend to rescue us....... saved........................

Cant believe how PANTS the weather was this weekend.... it rained constantly on Saturday and eventually stopped at 5.30pm... so we went for a lovely walk by the river.


On Sunday we decided to go to the seafront...... and being usual Brits.... the kids wanted to paddle in the sea...... wind blowing, rain spitting, macs on and the kids went paddling... typical British summertime.... lol.... kids had a great time tho ;)

Train Ride

I decided to brave it and took the girls to see my Mum on the train, they were really well behaved and coped well with the long journey so we will definitely be doing it again ;) My Mum was SO pleased to see them too - and we even got to spend the day with my Niece Katie...... we had a lovely day, the weather was fab too and the girls all played in the garden. My Mum was looking a little better when we saw her today..... and was over the moon to see the girls.... smiles all round which has to be the best medicine ever :)

We had a fab trip on the way out, managed to find our seats and were all sat together round a table - which is fab - although we were in the 'Quiet' Coach - but the girls coped well and were quiet as mice all the way there, there were whispering to each other and being SOOOO quiet I was very proud of them... I was a bit miffed however that they had reserved us seats in the 'Quiet' coach.... but ho hum..... we then came to find our seats on the way back - the train was packed and our seats were very spread out and had someone else sitting in them... so we decided to go and hunt for some spare seats closer together... thats when the fun began, the train was hurtling along, the little ones were falling all over the show, we treked from coach to coach and eventually ended up in the 'Quiet' coach again... with 4 seats together but facing the wrong way...... Chloe soon began to feel sick so we decided at the next stop to find our seats and move the people that were in them.... so off we go again..... we ended up waiting in the restaurant coach with the friendly guy in there - and we got talking - and thats when we found out that the 'Quiet' coach just means no music or phones... BUT you CAN talk...... how funny....

Birthday time.......

Yesterday was Birthday Time again..........

Had a fab birthday today, - thanks for all the good wishes :) DH had the day off work which was fab and we went to Manchester for the day. We went to the Lowry and even went to the Shopping Mall there... had a fab time in Paper place and got lots of yummy card for card making and lots of other goodies ;)

Had some fab pressies too, more momiji dolls for the collection, fab Armani perfume, chocs, CD, DVD, lots of nice jewellery and 3 sets of fab promarkers oh and smellies..... cant have a birthday without smellies ;) - heres a few of the Momijis I got ;)

and my fave perfume I had :)

The girls made me a fab breakfast in bed, fresh strawberries, pancakes with syrup and a fabby hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and grated chocolate (a Simpsons special apparently ;P)

I definitely had a special fab birthday ;)
